We may share information about you under certain circumstances which we have described below and with appropriate safeguards on your privacy:
  • Employees: We may share your information with employees that need to know in order to help us provide our services or to process the information on our behalf. We require all employees to follow this privacy policy for personal information that we share with them.

  • Third party vendors: We may share information about you with third party vendors who need to know information to provide services to us.
Such third party vendors include those that help us understand and improve our Services (for example analytics providers such as Google) who may need information about you in order to, for example, allow us to analyse how users use our Services (such as user flow on the ThorroldFox web site).

  • Legal requests: We may share information about you in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request.

If any of these events were to happen, this Privacy Policy would continue to apply to your information and the party receiving your information may continue to use your information, but only consistent with this Privacy Policy.

How Long We Keep Information

We generally remove information about you when we no longer need it for the purposes described above and we are not legally required to keep it.

For example, ThorroldFox web server logs that record information about visitors to the ThorroldFox web site are kept for 30 days. These logs usually contain information such as the visitor's IP address, browser information and operating system. This information is kept for approximately 30 days before being retired.
We hold onto this information so that we can analyse web traffic to our Services or investigate issues with our Services.
Once removed, this data may remain within one of our backups until replaced with newer versions.

However, due to uncertainty with Brexit, this may mean after the UK leaves the European Union, your data will be transferred and stored outside of the EU. We will update this Privacy Policy as soon as we are aware of changes that may impact this.

When sharing your information with third party entities that are outisde of the European Union or European Economic Area (EEA), we will take appropriate measures to ensure the recipient safeguards your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy as required by applicable law. Such measures include:
  • For US based entities, entering into European Commission approved standard contractual arrangements with them, or ensuring they have signed up to the EU-US Privacy Shield.

You may contact us for more information regarding the steps we take to protect your data when transferring it outside of the European Union.

Third Party Ads and Analytics Services

Ads that appear on any of our Services may be delivered by advertising networks. These ad networks and analytics providers may set tracking technologies (like cookies) to collect information about your use of our Services and across other web sites and online services. These technologies allow these third parties to recognise your device to compile information about you or others who use your device. This information allows us and other companies to, among other things, analyse and track usage, determine the popularity of certain content and deliver advertisements that may be more targeted to your interests.

Please note this Privacy Policy only covers the collection of information by ThorroldFox and does not cover the collection of information by any third party advertisers or analytics providers.
Please visit our cookie policy for more information on what cookies may belong to third party services that we use and links to their respective Privacy Policies.
